Let me just start by saying, we have a serious love affair with all things truffle related. So my mom and I couldn't pass up an opportunity to have some truffle tater tots. We came here after getting to tour the exclusive Paramour Mansion. The tater tots were really crispy and crunchy, but not strong in truffle flavor. They do give you a lot tho, when most places serve this dish you only get a few. Maybe this should have been an indication that there wasn't much truffle to be found. They were still good in their own way tho.
We decided to share our meals, so my mom ordered a salad and I had the "Adult XXX Mac & Cheese". I swear I didnt eat all that mac by myself ok! I think the "XXX" refers to the size, because it really was a lot. More than enough for 3 people. It was good, if not a little average. The pasta was cooked well and the sauce was creamy, but tasted to like a pre-made sauce. It seems all the food could use a little leveling up in some way.
It is a fair restaurant but very average for what it is. I think the main draw is the selection of beers and TVs. It would definitely be a very good place to have a drink and watch a baseball game. Another problem with this establishment was that the service was really slow. When it came time to check out, we couldnt even find our waiter, who seemed to disappear. He was friendly while serving tho. So, if you want a beer and to hang out, this is a good place. The food though, is very average.
