Food trucks offer all types of food by bringing it to you. On this outing by the Long Beach Aquarium, I tried the Italian eatery, Mangia.
Boasting a large Italian menu, most items were offered as a plate or as a sandwich on Hawaiian sliders. There was chicken pesto, "meataball", Italian sausage and much more. Give yourself time to look at the menu, because its extensive and a little confusing. The couple running the truck were very friendly and helpful, answering questions about the menu.
I ordered the "meataball" spaghetti plate which comes with a side of Texas Toast. The taste was of a comforting and reliable spaghetti, the kind of which you get at old diners. While not the most flavorful spaghetti, it wasn't bad. It tasted a little bland, perhaps to appeal to all kinds of palates, which food trucks attract. Texas toast is always a treat, as its not something I eat often. While it probably wasnt homemade, it was still tasty.
I only had the meatball spaghetti, and considering their menu, I havent had the most delicious item. I would be very curious to try more of their offerings.
